Ive worked at KFC and Walmart. I was a teenager when I worked at KFC so I really didnt care about anyone but myself, my friends, and a couple of the guys that worked there (quickly lost interest in them anyway). I cared about others but at that age...
When I worked at Walmart I helped a severly disabled man in a power wheel chair pay for his items because he couldnt get his wallet out of his bag. I kept him company outside while he waited for his ride. I learned he was very athletic in the past until he got a neurological disease that effected his muscles. He lived in a group adult foster home. They were closing down and he didnt know where he was going to go or who was going to take care of him.
I helped an elderly man who had open heart heart surgery only two days prior and was having trouble walking fininish his shopping.
I saw the look of shock and tears of excruciating grief on the customers who had lost everything in the wildfires. I saw the haunted look on those who had been protecting the unburnt neighborhoods from looters, and the ones who had to bury all the burnt corpses of pets and livestock they loved. I also helped a few customers buy things like 10 microwaves to donate to the wildfire victims.
Customers are people with with feelings, dreams, hopes and fears. Sure there are the jerks too but even they are people too.
Some people have more compassion than others. Sometimes if compassion is lacking it can be developed, but not always.
The world is full of amazing people with amazing stories regardless of how simple some of their stories may be. If you want to see it you can and if you dont thats ok too.

I love KFC. I don't mind waiting as long as people are nice. I am nice and i expect that back. I love to order ahead though and just pick it up.

@Fungirlmmm right the food has to cook properly unless you want food poisoning. It's chicken it has to be done right or else.....
You should care, they are sponsoring your employment and they want a decent meal
