I swear to goddess, I'm going to go crazy if he asks me this one more time.

My dad has started becoming overwhelmed by the various places where he gets his messages. Again.

He gets emails on his computer, voicemails on the landline he insists on keeping, voicemails on his cell phone, and text messages on his cell phone. And even though he could be checking all of this stuff on his cell (except voicemail for the landline, and I can probably arrange that), it's not good enough. He told me yesterday, as he has told me numerous times before, that he wants me to find an app for his phone where he can check his emails, voicemails, and text messages, all without switching apps.

My dad has never had a computer, and he may or may not read an incoming text and for sure won't/cannot reply.

In the past he's needed repeated help setting up his voicemail, now we don't bother leaving messages bc he may or may not reply.

About a decade ago one of my siblings got him a smartphone. Worst idea ever. Somehow I became tech support and every few months I'm asked to remove all the hundreds of app flags. 🤪

Then one of my siblings signed him up for FB and he can scroll but same thing with messages there, dont bother.

We lost my mom in the early Y2Ks, I've often wondered if he'd have been more technologically advanced if she'd been there.

He could divert the landline to his mobile I guess

@SW-User I'm looking at it now. The only thing that's missing is voicemails and texts. Or are they there, and I'm missing something?
