Sorry but I laugh at it. 😆 How is visiting a profile harassment? You voluntarily publish stuff online for other people to see, if you don't want them to see it, set your post as private.
I never had VIP, never knew who sees what and I don't even care.
There are people who leave their tabs open, if they somehow forgot to close a tab with a profile on it, there's going to be a view from them every time they open their browser.

I never visit someone I know has VIP.
Not all, but some people get really paranoid about people visiting their profiles. Which to me is silly. We make posts for people to interact on and if someone likes our content they will visit. 😊

I visit profiles all the time. Some more often than others, I sure hope none of them feel harassed.

I never did feel this way. This is a public forum of course people will visit my profile. I know a person who blocks people over this, what's the point. When I was vip I would check that for fun tbh I never thought of it in any other way.

When it’s a long standing profile with plenty of views and gifts I think nothing about it . When it’s a very low view ( I get a lot of one view visitors) , few or no gifts it’s likely a troll ( alt) account trying to sneak past being blocked . I don’t like being stalked. Other VIP members can keep me from seeing if they viewed my profile but those people aren’t as likely to be perverts or trolls .

I had vip last year and saw that I was being visited by the same people everyday. I think they visited to see if I had a new post up because they always replied on them.

thereasons we have profiles is so that people can read them... i am more likely to feel harassed by someone who is too lazy to visit my profile before messaging me.

Some of these VIPs are narcissistic Prima Donnas. Anyone looks at their profile, and they are ready to call the “thought police.”

Thats like people who get angry at people for looking at their butts or cleavage; you're a person that lives in the world. As such, people may look at you from time to time. If they like what they see they may even look often. Get over it 🤷🏽‍♂️.

If they are being overtly disrespectful then that is a whole other topic of conversation.

as far as I understand, only your posts and ten categories of interest are forcibly open for viewing.

you can programmatically collect all of your comments on other people's posts.

everything else can only be seen by people who have access to the users database.

I would if it was someone I didnt get along with. I visit my friends almost daily to see if they are ok as I dont always see their posts in my feed. I dont mind too much if my friends visit me daily

Hmm. I never thought about it being a form of harrassment. I just realized recently that we can click a button to make their profile pic full size, so I have been going through doing that. It never dawned on me that it would bother anyone.

I do my best to avoid interacting with VIP members or even visiting their profiles.

That’s why I got vip because people with VIP get paranoid when you visit their profile. Lol

it would be unnerving if they felt they were being stalked...but profile views is just one piece of data. In itself it doesn't mean anything.

The thought never crossed my mind, and it doesn't bother me at all.

I do know this much....some of the comments sound kind of prejudice about people with VIP.

This site just feels less and less social all the time.

It depends. If its someone I engage in conversation with, then thats ok. If it's someone whos a blank profile then no.

Some people with VIP get antsy even if you visit their profile only once and don't contact them to inform them why you were there. I've almost entirely stopped visiting profiles altogether just to avoid those that block you for deciding not to be social that day.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing but when someone you have blocked makes a new profile just to view yours after you have blocked them is weird.
