Have you ever gotten angry at your friends or best friend for revealing something they you didn’t want your parents to know?
A couple years ago, this one girl (let’s call her Ashlyn) from high school wanted me to prank call 911, pretend to be worried that I was in the hospital because she was in a car crash. Ashlyn gets mad because I would talk to someone she doesn’t like and use me for other things to get me involved because I was the “nice” friend. She would tell me who and who to not be friends with just because she doesn’t like them. My best friends warned me about she and they told me she was only using me to get what she wants. My guy friend said, “Look Ashlyn isn’t a good friend. She puts you into these uncomfortable situations, she uses you to get her to help in her schemes and no offense, why are you even friends with her?”
My female best friend said, “Ashlyn is problematic, dramatic, she insulted your mother that abandoned you and showed NO empathy and to put it bluntly, I don’t think she even likes you that much. You should tell your dad what has been going on.” Anyways I told them I will, but I never did and when they came over to my house and had a chat, my best friends told my dad EVERYTHING about what she did to me and he was shocked. I tried to talk but my late dad said, “Hold on. I wanna hear what they have to say.” Then they told him everything and my dad looked at me shockingly and said, “How come you don’t tell me anything anymore? You never told me any of this stuff. You better drop her. I keep telling you that not everyone is your friend and stop calling everyone your friends.”
I was so angry at my best friends for telling my dad but they said, “Well YOU didn’t tell him and said nothing so we will tell him. We told you. If you don’t say anything, we will and it’s for your own good. Plus you said you would tell him but you did so we did. We’re your true friends. We look out for each other and you don’t always make the best choices. Sometimes we have to tell you what to do because you don’t listen and you’re clueless. OPEN YOUR EYES. You never said we couldn’t tell him.
I was so angry at them for telling my dad. That’s why I don’t like them coming over to my house because they’re gonna tell everything.
