Entwistle · 56-60, M
Pretty sure i read that Gandhi used to sleep naked next to young girls so as he could "test himself".
popmol · 22-25, M
@Entwistle uuhm what does that have to do with my question?
Johnny Clegg, the South African musician known as the "white Zulu." Clegg formed the band Juluka with Sipho Mchunu in the 1970s, when it was illegal for Blacks and whites to perform together. He was immensely popular and one concert he held in Paris was so well attended, it caused a Michael Jackson concert to be cancelled. Clegg spoke fluent Zulu and sang in Zulu and English. He fought against the apartheid regime his whole life and probably contributed to its end. A truly inspirational person.
@popmol Here's one of his songs, "Trouble Musa Ukungilandela" about how trouble follows him like the pages of a book follow each other.

Mother Teresa, Albert Schweitzer, Albert Einstein, Gandhi are four that come to mind.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom I will do some more reading on her and let you know what I think. She sounds much more complicated than her public persona. Still, not everything about her could have been fabricated.
@windinhishair Start here. It's a short article.

Frederick Cossom Hollows, AC (9 April 1929 – 10 February 1993) was a New Zealand–Australian ophthalmologist who became known for his work in restoring eyesight for thousands of people in Australia and in many other countries. It is estimated that more than two million people in the world can see today because of initiatives instigated by Hollows, the most notable example being The Fred Hollows Foundation.

Jonjdw · 46-50, M
Just looked him up. He does good things. If I had lots of money and time.

I would help cold cases. And the innocence Project. And anything else my money and time could help make it better. Like the drug problem
popmol · 22-25, M
@Jonjdw yes! he solved the autism and vaccine crisis which i'm happy about!

popmol · 22-25, M
@cherokeepatti the epic lightning guy! i'm sad he could not do his full plans!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@popmol he hasn’t gotten full credit for everything that he did do. Einstein gets all the glory in the school system and Tesla is rarely mentioned, if at all. I’ve told master’s degree students about him and they’d never heard of him.
