I had to help a friend in a similar situation last year and used

You can also dial 211 and talk to someone over the phone (I think you might be able to do it for free on a payphone if you don't have a cell).

Have you tried looking in a different area .. maybe you can buy a house instead of renting.. talk to a realtor.. sometimes you can buy a house for less then rent .. they have special loans for new home owners

Do you have a source of income? Hope so. You need to contact social services for a little assistance. They have the resources and will help find you a place. Hopefully they'll offer a little financial help as well.

Yes, I feel sorry for you having to find a new place to live especially as times are very tough

Renting anything here to live in is next to impossible to find.
