If a woman is tough enough to hit a man, she should be tough enough to get hit back by one?

I just don’t understand this whole guys don’t hit a girl thing, but girls should not hit guys either. Nobody should be hitting anyone! If a woman’s allowed to have self defense against a man, than a man is allowed to have self-defense against a woman too! Men are allowed to defend for themselves to. I remember my parents telling us as kids, “If you are tough enough to hit someone, you should be tough enough to take a hit, no matter what gender you are.”
My dad said, “If someone starts a fight with you, you better finish it. There’s no such thing as a fair fight. Can’t be nice all the time.”

Keep your damn hands to yourself. Men you deserve to defend for yourself against a woman abusing you. Women said equal rights but get shocked when a man hits a woman back for self defense after a woman abuses and hits him! Welcome to life ladies! Wake up!
No true man ever hits a woman.

@SW-User huh? can't say I've ever shot a rabbit, but my cat did drag one home the other day.
I guess I'm not understanding your comment.

Well spoken and thank you for that refreshing distinction between violence and self-defense. You have a clear understanding of the underlying mechanics of what's been going on for decades and how it's a sham. Unfortunately due to the Duluth Model (which focuses on shaming men, is based on ideology not science, ignores drinking, drugs and other psychological problems while saying there's only one cause of domestic violence - men, and ignores violence perpetrated by women) no matter what happens, it is the man held accountable and is incarcerated. In this way senseless violence trumps self-defense and we'll continue to ignore...

...until those anti-male laws are exposed for what they are and finally changed by leaders with both the courage and political will to change them. Thank you for your understanding.

Yeah you gotta sum up your opponent by their size and strength, not their gender. I mean I'm not going to thump an 80 year old male midget swinging his walking stick at me now am I? Gender doesn't matter, but my wife coming at me with the meat cleaver!!! She'd get a crack across the skull.

@Allelse
One of the problems is people confuse the difference between senseless violence and self-defense. It doesn't matter who it is, if someone attacks you then you have every right to defend yourself. Otherwise the cycle of violence repeats itself.

@Allelse
So was mine. She would lift me up by my hair and place me on the washer to smack the shit outta me like a giant gorilla. In front of her own mother who I figure she learned it from.

it's a nice idea in theory but if ya try to put it into practice, you goin' to jailllll
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@BlueVeins true but I’m not saying to just hit anyone. You can defend for yourself without hitting.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@PetiteJulie01 my prefered mode of self defense is kissing

I agree. My ex literally bit a chunk out of my arm. Everyone needs to keep there hands to themselves and straighten out there mind.
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
I got hit by my mil and I didn't hit her back. Because she's almost 80. 😑

Ikr?

I often wondered what would happen if a guy built like this would need to defend himself if a bodybuilder woman were to go at him full charge with a baseball bat?

Who's side would the public be on if the guy resorted to self defence?

You are correct but violence solves nothing. Don’t raise a hand to another person. That simple

@SW-User I do not. Understanding and punishment of differing ways is more effective. My opinion.

But I told my husband if she EVER hits me again I'm going to break her teeth. I had lived there when she hit me. She was a wicked witch. And I couldn't defend myself.

I was taught to never hit a woman, until a woman tried to kill me.

Now the gloves are off.

@Eddiesolds smart choice. What if she keeps trying to hit you?
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@PetiteJulie01 I'd get in to my truck and split. Get a hotel and stay there. I'd get one with a nice swimming pool. Then the next day I'd go.grab my stuff. And leave for good. Why would I stay with her? Gosh that's nasty.
