I am getting overwhelmed with the students at my job.

It’s hard to get kids to listen. I’m doing one on one with a student and SHE IS A HANDFUL. I mean she won’t listen and I have to keep chasing after her. She’s cute but such a handful. It makes me cry. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

is there no one to offer you help when you are feeling overwhelmed? are you all alone with them? maybe you could mention something to your boss & find a volunteer teacher's aide. unfortunately a lot of parents push their parenting on outside sources, so i understand if it is painful & overwhelming at times. you can only do your best.

@lovelywarpedlemon I did but they told me they’re my students and I need to learn how to deal with them by myself and it’s something I going to have to do if I want to be a teacher. I have to do things I don’t wanna do sometimes. They kept walking away when I hinted them that I needed support but they just looked at me and gave me an “oh well” look. One said that she’s only 4 so expect her to be a handful and she is my student so I am responsible for her and not the other staff. Nobody really offered to help me. I was on my own.

Ok that does sound tough and you might worry you will be judged? The thing is.. she is her and clearly she has special needs.. so I very much doubt anyone cuold do better.. It would be great to go easy on yourself, tell yourself you are doing your very best?

@LaylaTheTallGirl I know she has special needs but it’s so frustrating running after her. Most people are depending on me to be in charge of her.
