You must left God behind for a good reason... So why ?

I guess it's kinda weird because I [i]do[/i] believe in a god but I don't follow it, because I've seen and heard too many evil things in this world that make me think, "Why would any god allow this? Allow a child to be tortured? Allow humans to be picked off one by one like they're targets?"

I like to think if there's one, it'd understand my cynicism 😐

I didn't leave God behind; I stopped believing in his existence. It happened very suddenly, almost like waking up except I was already awake when it happened. It just occurred to me that "God" wasn't necessary to explain observed reality. I was 14 at the time and had grown up in a religiously observant home.

As an analogy. I knocked on the door. Went in and no one had ever even lived there.
