So let's say hypothetically you work at a hostel that rents male and female dorm rooms, and a Transgender boy walks in wanting to be put in the male dorm rooms because he feels more comfortable in there. And let's say you new that something was off but didn't want to ask a question that might make them feel uncomfortable, so you let it slide and help them up to the male dorm rooms and everything is cool, and he starts to unpack. You get half way down the stairs and it strikes you that you never entered their i.d. into the computer, so you go back up and ask for it and he quickly gives it to you and as you are running it you notice that it says female under their name.

Do you hypothetically transfer them into the women's side of the hostel?

There's probably rules in place but I'd let the person go where they're asking to go. If you're unsure as a worker, seek out a supervisor.

@HannahSky i probably should have done that but either way i would have still worried. they hypothetically ended up checking out early and so didn't stay the night.
