Sounds like a summer crisp variety. Greenish yellow, rip in mid august, VERY sweet.

What is the variety?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@FreestyleArt Wow. Someone I knew told me that there are many older trees where old houses in rural areas used to be. He was talking about apples but it could also be pears and other fruit trees. A botanist made trips around rural areas taking cuttings to get starts for these trees since our marketplaces only offer a small fraction of the varieties of fruit that used to be grown a century or more ago. I don’t know if pears are like apples but in order to get the same type of apple you need to grow the plants from cuttings off of the branches.
