If people literally just stayed home

It's optimism bias. People go out to the park with their friends thinking "nothing will happen to me because nothing bad usually does" and then they get it and infect other people. Its part naivety and part selfish.

We could get rid of so many problems with just a little consideration.

As I once read, having some states shelter in place and others not is like having a peeing section of the pool.

My mom keeps going to the grocery store once a week, saying I need milk! I told her I'd order it for pickup at Walmart but she doesn't wait. She's at high risk and my sister who lives with her is too.. 😕 I understand essentials but she's got TWO people with low immune system.... It makes me mad

Theres what I call the 4-way stop logic. A jerk decides that, since the other three will stop, he doesn't have to. That logic works until another jerk drives by.

Similarly, in this situation, the jerks think everybody else will observe the quarantine or take necessary steps. Until they don't

I've been more or less housebound for going on 25 years now. If I can do that and still lead a happy and productive life there's simply no excuse for anyone who even pretends a month or two is hard when lives are at stake.

Yeah people are crazy, and out of control. One lady got arrested for not staying inside in my area
