well, that was stupid, but they don't keep you on the ward very long, so she may have already had it incubating. still stupid as hell, for many reasons.

Dumb move on his part I’m sure many asymptomatic spouses have infected their significant other as well.
He knew he might have it so it is terrible but she may have already have had it herself. Really no way to know with the varying incubation period.
