@Kwek00 in short the boys get better grades when the teacher does not know the gender of the person taking the the test.

@WeighedDown You know... "bias" is a thing. I'm following evening classes now, to get a degree that allows me to be in front of a class in my country. And in every class, teachers advocate to close of the "names" of students when you correct stuff.
However... certain courses like "math" for instance... has nothing to do with interpretation. Your sollution is either wrong or good. 🤷♂️
And bias also isn't nescesarily a gender thing? What kind of people are teaching over there?
And in my personal experience (as well as the 12-18 as the 18-24 as my evening classes 28-32 and now my other evening classes 36-37 year old) ... Most women in my class just want to do better, while most males are just: "well if I have enough to pass, I have enough to pass". Most females in the classes that I've been in... really want to perform and be the best. That tendency seems (only anekdotal experience) to be way less prevalent in all the males I've been with in classes.

I would have guessed as much. White men are more likely, I think, than any other group, to remember a time when their parents or grandparents could get by, well into the middle class, on a trade job. Therefore, white men are more likely to consider pursuing a trade job as a means of getting and staying into the middle class, while minority groups don't have such memories with regard to their family work and financial history and, hence, choose to go to college.

About time.
I remember when I was going to college and looking for financial aid. I checked the box for being white and over half the available aid disappeared. Checked the box for not having any kids and watched even more disappear. There were some strictly for women, and even something for left handed people.
I can only assume being a white male would have really cut down the aid options.
