Have you ever been the subject of a malicious rumor? Did it bother you?

Yes. And yes it did. A former friend at my former job (I retired) told a major lie about me to my former co-workers. It stunned and upset me. But then it occurred to me that no one who knew me would ever believe it because the lie is so obviously outrageous. It still bothers me because I have no idea why she would do this.

As you noted I would not consider that a "friend" !!

Yes and yes. My mother in law is a gold mine of false rumors and half truths. She’s a destroyer of relationships. I will eat cake the day she leaves my life completely. There will be balloons.

I think the societies in the east do rumors more. i worked in a few european countries and witnessed that many ppl doesnt care about what othes do. In my country (turkey) everybody seem to be so much concerned about what others do and this cause lots of rumors unfortunately. Ive not been involved in a bad rumour as far as i know :)

Yes. I've been the subject of a malicious rumor. It's too bad people question truth, but will easily believe something negative.

Oh yeah I have made a few enemies over my years they would say anything to hurt me people like that such a shame just State the truth

Yes, by my ex. She did her best to turn our children against me. It worked for a few years. Now they are old enough to see through her lies.

Yeah ive had that happen but whats so stupid is people believe someone and dont even ask me.so i got rid of those types .why believe a total stranger
