Why don't some young relationships last but older does?

My foster parents started dating at 24-25 and got married at 28-29 and still together and in love. One of my cousins got married at 22 and people though it wasn't going to last but she is still with her husband of almost 18 years.

It has a lot to do with maturity levels. As people age they tend to realize what is really important, what is tangible and real. expectations aren't set as high because they know that life and people aren't perfect. I'm not talking about settling, but about acceptance.

Some couples find resolutions and work on things harder than others. My wife and I are 19 years still like new. Some couples just don't do what it takes.

At that time life was more secure and free. Today's life Is very stressful
