I'm honest. I say "I'm so sorry, but I've forgotten your name..."
Maggimay · 46-50, F

Torch · 22-25, F
I wait and pray to god that someone says there name! carefully weaving around having to say it. lol
I pretend I know them..
Zer0Point · 31-35, F
Ask them their name and when they reply with their first name, say "oh no, I meant your last name"
Maggimay · 46-50, F
@Zer0Point i like that idea. I will use that. Clever
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M

Hi. It's great to see you. I feel like a dummy, but your name evades me...forgive me. *just be honest, and sincere.*
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@SW-User i wish i could ask to shy
OKWTF2 · 51-55, M
I've gone an amazingly long time with some great conservations for weeks with people who's name I was unsure of. Eventually with a bit of help and creativity I got by and got their name.
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@OKWTF2 been their😆
OKWTF2 · 51-55, M
@Justenjoyit always tricky when you reach "that time" when it really has been too long to ask.
It takes less than a nanosecond from the time I'm introduced to someone until I've forgotten their name. Unless they have the same name as I do. Those I can recall.

I just call everyone Slappy.
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@LyricalOne and when you meet two together,do you call them slappy one and slappy two😆
LyricalOne · F
@Justenjoyit Exactly! 😁
I'm still unsure of which of my nieces is Aime, and which is Hannh. They are both teens by now. I see them frequently. Gotta start paying attention.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
I've always been good at remembering faces but never so good with names. Most of my encounters with them are brief so I just carefully avoid saying their name when in conversation (it always feels extremely awkward when I can't remember). If I see them often I'll eventually bite the bullet and admit my lack of memory and ask them, but most of the time I wait to see if I hear someone else say it.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
When you meet someone that you know, you don't need to know their name. The problem starts when they recognise you but you don't recognise them.
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@pennynoodles and then theres that lol
