Human skulls in my back yard’ 💀

Lots of good answers on this.

Just going to add that some people like myself have many collections. Often you must click on the little seen "More collections" Link.

There simply is no easy way to have only certain collections shown all the time. It's always last collection created first on the collection list.

Must say that I am likely they reason for the collections at all, because I used my photo albums as collections for years. Which I still maintain because collections do not allow for comments.

The index for my photo album type collections is my first featured post.

Collections are indeed a way to categorize your own posts. You can make whatever categories you want. I made one myself for posts around a certain theme so that I can easily find them back.
It is supposed to make it easier for others' too, but I don't think many people look there. It's more for yourself.

And yes, groups and forums are the same now.

Collections are a way to group similar posts in one spot. I have an example on my page though be warned: nudity.
@SW-User I don't know. Yeah, it gets complicated, stupidly so. I know this has been noted before, I have nudity/fetish turned off in preference for now, but if I search upon a topic, those show up. They won't show up in the feed, though. My guess, poor implementation in design?

@thewindupbirdchronicles Don't bother asking about design, it's all over the place. I have no clue what the ultimate aim of the admins is but right now it's a mishmash of different features

@thewindupbirdchronicles Ok i guess it’s not just me, I won’t lose sleep on it. Thanks to all for the comments
Yes, groups and forums are the same thing. They just recently changed groups to forums in name. Collections are if you have posts similar to each other, you can place into a collection. For instance, I like photography, so I have a collection titled 'Photography'. Just a way to collect those posts together.

@thewindupbirdchronicles Thanks. See my reply to @Longpatrol, your explanation makes sense too when I see yours.
