Am I over reacting?

There's a lady I buy a product from for say a dollar. I usually buy five at a time though and give 2 extra dollars as a nice gesture. I figure times are tough and I help out with the little that I have.

The last time I went there she said I trust one day I'll get an extra ten dollars. I just laughed it off but thinking about it later that day, it did not sit well with me. I'm not under any obligation to give her even the two extra dollars i leave her with every purchase, why does she now feel entitled to more? Perhaps she said it in jest? But I do not recall a single thank you from her up to this point, so I'm thinking of purchasing from a guy that operates a little further away from me, maybe he'll show a little more appreciation.

She just shot herself in the foot by not appreciating your patronage.
She is trying to shame you into giving more.
Give your patronage elsewhere.

I get how you feel man. Sometimes good deeds go unappreciated and people feel entitled which makes them greedy for more.

You're doing it to help them out. If they can't see it. It's their frickin loss.
It's your money. You don't have to tip.

@Spoiledbrat True, I just like to help where I can though.
Yeah but she should be nice too. She's working for you. We don't owe anyone anything. @SW-User
move your business elsewhere

@MeLielie I Certainly will be I think.
Yeah you are way over reacting.. did you want her to send you a thank you letter for giving her one extra dollar? Sheesh

No, it is a bit insensitive not knowing your own circumstances. Also self absorbed.

Guess she won’t know the true value of the extra 2 dollars until its gone

Wow I can’t believe some people. Give that extra $2 to your wife
Nomad7 · 22-25, M
Nah, just stick with her and the $2
good idea😉

It's the crack of noon, it's too early for maths.

Sounds a bit entitled to me You could stop tipping and see how she reacts or you could just move your business to the other guy
SW-User
@REMsleep Yes I like that suggestion.

That was rude. She is in the wrong.
