Are you too polite for your own good?

Nothing wrong with that. I say ma’am/sir a ton during a conversation without even noticing it and the thank you’s flow just as much. Think politeness, even if it’s a bit too much, is appreciated way more than frowned upon. It’s the thought behind it and to me that means a ton.

Being raised in the south, politeness and manners are pretty deeply engrained.

Last time I had Subway, I didn't realize my friend had put me on speaker phone, and told my friend to tell the idiot making my sandwich that I did NOT want onions and cucumbers and tomatoes and green peppers. Nice, huh? I was on a roll that day...🙄...oh, wait...my lunch was on a roll...🤭
