What are your dreams about ?

BlueVeins · 22-25
I dream about a lot of things, intermittently. Sometimes I dream about doing truly horrible things and facing the overwhelming consequences. Sometimes I dream about killing people, sometimes I dream about uncovering the miserable realities by which other people have lived and died, and losing myself completely in thought, about what the anguish they suffered through. Sometimes I dream about playing with technologies that don't exist. Sometimes I dream about working alongside others and falling far, far behind on the task at hand while everyone else does their work competently and quietly. Oftentimes, I die. On one occasion, I wound up in the afterlife and talked to people who I used to know.
wackidywack · 22-25
@BlueVeins what's it like waking up from them ?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@wackidywack Very strange. I remember feeling disappointed for a few days after the afterlife dream. Sometimes I just lay in bed for a while thinking about it, letting all those emotions and stray thoughts out. Sometimes I feel very lucky it wasn't real, and I address the day with a calmness about it, like just being there in a mundane world and existing in the moment is all I want to do.
deadgerbil · 22-25, F
Lately about getting into fights with family lol
wackidywack · 22-25
@deadgerbil do you ever see who wins
deadgerbil · 22-25, F
Enjoying weekends in front of camp fires and relaxing every weekend. No overtime at all this summer 🙏
wackidywack · 22-25
@Teggy sounds like pretty nice dreams to have 🥺
unattainable desires, other worlds, loss, disappointment, bliss, romance, demons, food, of course.
wackidywack · 22-25
@DarlingSelah I feel like your dreams freak you out or surprise you a bit
@wackidywack yeah absolutely
Belladonna · 41-45, F
Last night, I dreamt I was caught in a tornado. Very real fear, living in the midwest...
Today metros for some reason 🤔 lots of them and getting stuck in stations because there's stairs and no ramps or elevators.
It's basically a mix of Turkish, Egyptian and GTA5 metros yes gta5😅 because in it the metro moves with the doors open and that happened in the dream.
wackidywack · 22-25
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I bet you have some of the most interesting dreams 🤔
SW-User
They vary massively, nostalgic memories, completely random fantasies, nightmares and sometimes just nothingness like being completely alone in silent darkness
wackidywack · 22-25
@SW-User your brain is a fascinating place
SW-User
@wackidywack it’s a terrifying place at times lol

I've been seeing my father, mother, sister and a good friend who have all passed away fairly often these nights. Sometimes I have sex dreams, sometimes I'm back in college or my at my old job. Food is a recurring dream too
Always the sea.
thepreposterouspanda · 31-35, M
Dunno. I haven't had one that I remembered in over a decade.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Friday night, I had a dream where I had multiple sets of lungs, but they were controlled like virtual machines I need to manage as part of work, and in order to keep breathing I had to spin up a while bunch of virtual machines to operate my lungs on or else I was going to drown on my own mucus.

It was my first night of covid symptoms and I guess illness stress and work stress decided to engage in some unholy matrimony in my brain.

I don't dream often, or at least don't remember them, but when I do they are pretty strange.
wackidywack · 22-25
@ViciDraco jesus. bit of a scary, odd one
I just don't have any. Needs suffice my side.
caccoon · 36-40
My dogs dying in horrible ways, sometimes being mean to people I kind of don't get along with (I always feel guilty when I wake up), dreams of running

I am trying to recall the last good dream I had
caccoon · 36-40
@wackidywack You're right. I feel like it it really can be an indication of our stress levels + unhappiness at times. But you're right, they're not real
wackidywack · 22-25
@caccoon you're right, it definitely probably can be an indication of stress levels. Maybe the people on this thread are really stressed lately. Never thought of that or even read about. Now I have a smidge of a jog at Freud for his money
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@caccoon I've been there vis a vis the dog thing. I'm sorry, it's rough.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Another one I had, I was back in high school. And something tipped me off that I was in a dream. I had done it, I had realized I was dreaming while in a dream and could lucid dream. That is what I had realized after waking up at least. My first instinct was to panic. I needed to wake up and escape the dream. So I had to do something crazy. I had to throw myself through the brick wall of the school building. That would wake me up. And it did.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Fortunately, my mental health is better than it has been in a while.
I haven't had nightmares for quite a while. So far, it's mostly been pervy stuff lol.
I spare the details.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Mostly nightmares
wackidywack · 22-25
@DDonde do you have them often
DDonde · 31-35, M
@wackidywack Fairly often
wackidywack · 22-25
@DDonde that must be really exhausting
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
A recurring nightmare is having to drive a car. But I'm either in the back seat or the passenger seat and I can't reach the brakes or the gas pedal, though the car is already moving. Sorry, that makes three answers but this one just came to me
wackidywack · 22-25
@ViciDraco you're alright
SW-User
Usually people trying to kill me 😂
wackidywack · 22-25
@SW-User what happens then 👀
