What are some of your favourite board games?

@WanderingThrough Somewhere I read a great summary of the typical Monopoly game: winner is determined in the first 10 minutes of play, but it takes another 2 hrs of tedious grinding for the game to end.

@ElwoodBlues It’s been so long since I’ve played, now I kind of want to play just to test this theory. 😂

@wackidywack I think because it’s a children’s game and my friends are mostly into really complex games. I have one friend who has a lot of really good games, but some of them are so similar and we’ll play a few of them in a night.

@wackidywack Haha, yes they are. It’s mainly the one. We were playing one game last night and no one was paying attention which was really frustrating him. 😂

@CardiacKintsugi Yes! Haven’t played Risk in ages. I’m pretty sure the last time I played was in high school. 🤔 Might have to buy this one for the nostalgia.

oh well.. we loved uno when we were kids.. we played it like mad 😄 its a classic @WanderingThrough

@SW-User Oh yeah. I remember my parents playing it quite often when I was a child. I’d pretend to play by just moving the little pegs around when they weren’t using it. 😂

@ElwoodBlues Ticket to Ride is always a good choice. I’ve heard good things about Azul, might be a good option for a new game. Thanks!

@WanderingThrough Another interesting game to consider is called "Pandemic" and it's a cooperative game. All the players work together to defeat a randomly shuffled deck of unfortunate events. Rules are pretty complex though.

@ElwoodBlues One of my friends has Pandemic and the only reason we haven’t played it is because it’s a bit complicated, apparently. One day, he plans to teach some of us.
