Linux users, around what percentage do you think the compatability with games is?

personally i'd say 85% for myself with maybe 5% of that having major issues but id like to know what other people experience
I can get my darling Final Fantasy XI up on Linux but I've found in lived experience of this that unfortunately while Final Fantansy XI's code is so old now that it's not unrealistic to expect it to be wine compatible the whole trouble is that there's a whole slew of third party applications that are grey market and violate terms of service that I use and am just careful with that don't actually work on it. I'm not talking Taco's either like SE would pitch a fit there but like Auto lotting Seals and such which is why I have such a massive supply in storage of seals to do BCNMS whenever I want to go. as well as crystals that I just feed to my moogle to turn into seals and occasionally unload stacks of clusters.

U need some tools but yeah, majority of games should run fine

@Lilpandaa I still need to learn some of the tools. I use proton glorious eggroll which seems to be enough

I've heard it's improved a lot recently. Haven't tried anymore, personally, I use Linux almost only on servers now.
@Elessar It has. Enough that's it's worth checking it out every now and then.

Just tagging in someone that I know is a gamer and is currently interested in Linux distros. Hopefully the two of you don't have each other blocked! 🙃😈😁

W/how companies & developers in general.... uh, let's just say Mac has better percentages & that blows.

& Mac was... is still quite a dedicated template.

Linux got the shaft, even if you can manipulate code, but that's systematic masochism there.
