No but my sister thought crying might help get her out of a speeding ticket (she has a lead foot and was very close to losing her licence due to speeding demerit points): it didn't. lol

Me on the other hand was stopped for speeding and was asked for an explanation. I was already crying as I explained I was going to the Vet as our family dog was being put to sleep. I got off.

I think it all depends on the particular cop on the day.
