Ever take a silly course?

I decided to take a course my guys need to go on to a 'safe' worksite. There were about 15 people in the class including myself. We sat through 8 hours of boredom before we could take the test. For what ever reason the instructor handed out the exam papers with our names already on it which meant it took him a few minutes to connect all the right people with the right paper. About the time the instructor sat down again I handed in my paper. One of the other fellows not on my crew asked rather incredulously "You're done already?" I nodded yes and waited a few minutes before the instructor handed me my certificate. I passed. Of the 30 questions I had 0 wrong answers. I then had to wait over an hour for the other guys to finish their exams. I guess I was the only guy who aced the test. KInd of sad that I am the only guy that doesn't need the course!

I've had that experience too. The questions were so boringly easy that you didn't have to think. But some people needed a lot more time.

@WalterF Sadly as often is the case the questions were written with improper English likely intended to confuse people. I did feel a bit bad for two of the students for whom English is their second language. One Ukrainian and one Eritrean. Both could communicate verbally but you could tell that they still think in their native tongue. When you talk to them you can see them mentally translating what you said then mentally translating their answer. Full credit to them their command of English far surpasses my understanding of their language.
