Thank goodness for masks

Clinical rotations in the hospital is no easy walk in the park, aside from dealing with patients of all kinds, dealing with the terrible/nauseating smells they may have even with wearing a mask. But this particular day, my seasonal allergies were bad to the point my nose was constantly runny, allergy medication took no effect, and the only thing that would catch it was the surgical mask I was wearing. It felt terrible having to leave out of one patient's room constantly just to blow my nose while family was present. Plus the mask hides the lower part of your face obviously so eventually I plugged my nostrils with tissue, which gave me a hypo nasal voice, I wonder if that one patient I talked to even noticed the voice change lol.
