Do you think the whole medicinal/healing aspect some people attribute to psychedelics is true?

Or is it just a mean for people who want to get high justify what their doing and they could get the same results by just meditating, going on a retreats and all that stuff they usually do when consuming those substances with the difference of not consuming them?

I absolutely believe the clinical research that points out therapeutic benefits in using psychedelics to treat mental health issues.
Not all treatment facilities are boushie mountain retreats. I believe I've seen a few documentaries that Canada has some that are far more clinic based.

Hallucinogens might well be of benefit for some problems but it would have to be administered very carefully. The recreational use in the 60s and later was mostly not very therapeutic nor is “mystical” and shamanistic use associated with Native American tribes.

Just my opinion.

Considering the amount of medical benefit I get from cannabis, I am not surprised at all that there could be similar benefits from other drugs as well.
