How do you define the word "friend"?

When you can take everything you hold dear and put it in theirs hands and you know it will be safe, maybe even better off, that is the definition of a friend

Loyal, genuine, honest, and trustworthy. A breeze in the hot air of bullshit most offer.

Someone you can trust, who truly cares about your well-being and has your back.

Someone that stands by your side when you are happy, sad or even mad. They don't try to "correct" your feelings. They listen and are there when you need love and support.

It's not just a definition...it's something that is felt in your heart. People can say they are your friends, but if you're not feeling that...then "friend" is just a word.
We all see friends differently and even have different expectations.
I think a friend brings the smiles, touches the heart and makes time for you... and it goes both ways.
