Do you have certain friends in which you do certain things with?

Been on a few outings with a new acquaintance. We get along really well but she's kinda boring.

All we do is go to lunch (outdoors) or take a walk somewhere and chat.

She says she's still being cautious due to covid. I don't understand this as I'm sure her husband and his friends aren't "confined" to patio lunches and walks in the park. She stated he's a gym rat so i know this for a fact.

Guess she"ll be the summertime friend as I'm sure winter will be "too cold" for her to leave the house.

When I was healthier and more active, there were friends that I had that I'd do certain things with and others I'd share other activities with. Not everyone was into surfing at the beach or roller skating and the rink. Quite a few weren't into camping either. I think there were only two that would be up for anything, including the more stupid things we'd come up with. But rarely would I find more into everything I liked and vice versa. Hopefully your friend can get past the fears and try to venture out more.

Maybe suggest other places to try or even try indoor dining but she can wear her mask if feeling uncomfortable. The only thing is, and I'm sure you know this, until she's ready to face it and take the steps herself, not much you can do. Except maybe just accept it, give her the time and space, while prodding her gently towards more things and maybe, if possible, turn to another friend that's more open. Not saying turn your back on her or dump her, but just find ways to still have fun doing things you want, with others that are able to be more free right now.

Not sure if this is helpful or anything, but it's just what I feel. The usual thing...just my opinion.

@MrPerditus1 thank you for your input. I wont dump her, just need more adventurous friends. Plus, she says she got the vaccine, so i don't understand why one would continue living like a hermit.

What suggestions have you made that she refused?

@Jenny1234 movie theater, arcade, roller skating, concert (theres no one shed like to see she says...). Recently she actually agreed to rollerskate, but the time of the adult night skating event was an issue, which prompted my next question that had been posted.
Guess i need to look for single friends...
