I used to have a friend from childhood. We got along well for a while till hard times hit me, as they do. I remember when this happened I confided to her and suddenly she hit me with how annoying I was because I was just complaining all the time.
So I dropped it and just worked through my issues alone. The hard times passed and life continued.
Then she hit hard times as well, as would be expected inevitably. I made light of her situation just like she made light of mine and she told me to "NEVER TALK TO ME LIKE THAT" and then she disappeared for the rest of my life.
