Wow, would they have chased him?

On the other hand, maybe they were just admiring the neighborhood. No need to be afraid of everything in America.

@hunkalove There's not much of a neighborhood to admire. There was a saw mill town here a hundred years ago but it's long gone. There's more or less a half dozen families in here and the thru traffic amounts to log trucks and hunters. We normally don't get people wandering around down in here in these woods unless they are looking for someone or are lost.

Nothing quite like a four legged friend to put the shiters up a couple of burglars.

Well, whether they meant any harm or not, you'll never know, but that's probably a good thing.

This is where I miss my German Shepherd. He was a big boy and very territorial.
I live in the country down a long private dirt road, so if you're driving that far in, you'll be coming for a purpose, or for more nefarious reasons.
We do suffer break-in's here, but I'm usually present aside from the occasional junket to Phoenix, or a quick ride to town.
I'm armed, and as they say, "head or a swivel."

@Freeranger I work from home most days and my truck is usually parked out at the shop so unless someone knows that they can't be sure if I'm here or not. Once upon a time I had a bull dog I found abandoned on the side of the road. He had been abused and looked extremely rough but was harmless. People tended to panic when they saw him coming around the corner of the house.

I hope you are also armed. The world is scary these days.
