I learned the hard to not make friends with anyone from work. Just be polite and social but you don’t need to be close to them or have long conversations if you don’t feel comfortable with that. I avoid talking to my coworker at all costs lol. I just smile at what they say.

I feel that. I don't really want to talk or get to know anyone. I want an activities partner who is positive and minds their own business.

People at work are just that.. people at work. I hate when they try to transition themselves into friends. A few have actually succeeded but that's been after much resistance on my part. 🤣

There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep friend circles and work circles separated tbh
