How Are Things in Glocca Morra?

My daughter and her best friend from grade school decided to get away to help her friend with divorce recovery.

So far, they've seen this

Now theres something you dont see around these parts very often. Would Chloe try to make friends?
@chuck7882 Yes. Only to be rebuffed.

About the only thing that hasn't come through my cat flap door recently. 🙄
@dancingtongue Maybe there's an outbreak of cat flap fever.

@Mamapolo2016 Yesterday I was wondering if I was suffering from hallucinations, or had fallen down the rabbit hole, when a little black lap dog in a floral vest came skittering across my back yard as I sat on the couch. Then, just in case I missed him/her, it skittered back across the yard and apparently under the fence and was gone. After a little Googling, I think it is a Havanese, which is a small lap dog Cuban breed frequently used as a comfort/service animal which might explain the floral vest. It also probably answers the question of what that other animal was when I caught a raccoon and some small black animal in my kitchen.
@dancingtongue How interesting!
Wow! Is that a coatimundi?
Where are they ? And what type of critter is this ?
@bijouxbroussard S America. It's a coatimundi. The males only show up for mating. See how relaxed it looks?

The females live in groups of up to 30, and share babysitting.

They are distant relatives to the raccoon and the red panda.
@Mamapolo2016 Interesting. What threw me was the length of its tail.
@bijouxbroussard They use it like a highwire walker uses their pole.
