Why are people so rude to vegans ?

Because vegans remind them of the moral implications of the practice of killing and eating sentient beings. Stereotyping vegans as overly pushy & anemic is an effective way to avoid engaging with the reasoning behind our decisions. It's not entirely unlike how conservatives and proto-fascists will laser focus in on rioters and "reverse racists" (for lack of a better term) to distract from a very serious conversation about racial justice in America.

I’m only rude when they get in my face and start preaching about it. Some of them act like they are virtuous for not consuming animal products. Why don’t they preach about harvesting the organs of aborted babies, they are being used for all sorts of products, medical, vaccines, food (HEK flavorings in processed foods) and expensive cosmetics.

Vegans are the most self righteous twits on the planet. How do you know there is a vegan in the room. Wait 30 seconds they will tell you.

They won’t shut the fuck up?

It’s like someone choosing to tell you they’re left handed every time they are asked to write their name. Not necessary.

My own limited experience is that non-vegans tend to be excessively polite to vegans, or to change the subject. The important thing is to expose the false claims vegans make and the damage they can do. Also they make very annoying dinner party guests.

Same with vegans

Because newborns need protein, lack of protein has been linked to autism by some doctors. Meat is good for you, especially in moderation.

Being extreme in anything is bad.

They force their views on others I guess.

I guess people fear what they don't understand. I think it ridiculous let people decide for themselves what is right for them physically or morally if that's their reason.

I don't know, I've had people be rude to me when they asked what my diet was and I answered. People say vegans never shut up but their limited experiences are online only. They have biases and stuff, have a poor ability to self reflect.

Meat eaters never forget to remind us how much they like steak or make ignorant comments regarding veganism. They never shut up about eating it or offering me it even though they know I'm vegan.

All people lack self reflection, that's all it is.

They are cruel to the animals they eat and vegans have better morals than people who consume animal products. Greta Thunberg is certainly one of us.

Some vegans are rude and give the rest a bad reputation. Still no excuse though

Why are people rude to anyone? I suppose I may be deemed rude to those I hold in contempt, like cruel, wicked, lying, deceivers who destroy rather than build or create, but I can’t help my disdain for those types, other than this, live and let live is my motto ... just don’t get in my face.

I'm not rude to vegans. They can eat the hell out of their fake meat for all I care.

I've often wondered about that, myself. The responses here are similar to those I received when I posted a question on the subject, many years ago.

Some of them act superior and rude to others. But there are good and bad in almost all groups of people, and it's unreasonable to assume they are all alike.

I have tried to joke around with vegans but somee are very sensitive about this matter.
I think it's from a lack of bacon in diet.

I think we should just accept each other. Vegans or not. Atleast, non vegans should be greatful that less stress on food chain.
