Why do good vegetables go bad quick?

Because they aren't processed junk food?

This is why I buy broccoli still on the stock - it’s not only cheaper, but lasts longer. And if you trim the florets off you can slice the stocks (1/2” round) and steam / roast them the same way, adding variety. Plus I think the field goal posts in the NFL should be narrowed.

Spite? Seriously though ethylene is produced when a vegetable/fruit starts to rot if any other vegetable is exposed it begins to rot also. Clean the fridge regularly. Additionally. When produce doesnt reach full growth cycle it can rot/begin to decay more quickly.
