@Rutterman Salmon, Tuna, Swordfish...although I made swordfish in a cast iron pan and it came out like steak...not sure I can do that reliably again....
@Vivaci I used to catch it from a stocked brook...and brought it home once a week in the spring...and my dad would skin it and cook it in a frying pan with garlic and breadcrumbs for my mom! My dad and I would have a hamburger...guess I was about 12 or 13....I forgot all about this...funny what SW does to us...How long did you live in UK?
@fun4us2b oh wow! Such fond memories of your mum! 😇 🐟 🤗💙
I lived there for 2 yrs. A fish monger at a farmer’s market insisted that I try trout and told me how to cook it...oh my! I never looked back after that...
"One early-20th-century source identifies all the following as panfish: yellow perch, candlefish, balaos, sand launces, rock bass, bullheads, minnows, Rocky Mountain whitefish, sand rollers, crappie, yellow bass, white bass, croaker and most of the common small sunfishes such as bluegill and redear sunfish."
