Have you ever used a pressure cooker to deep fry chicken?

Sounds like the perfect shortcut to the ER

@Jokersswild when I was in high school I had a friend that either didn’t think this through or was just ignorant about how a pressure cooker works. He tried to boil crawfish in one. It more less blew up and created a big mess! Luckily no one was seriously injured! Lol
@specman I think the poor crawfish were hurt.

@Dignaga no doubt
No! And don't! Oil pressure cookers are much different than regular kitchen pressure cookers!
@Hinckley Colonel Sanders had his first one specially made for his gas station restaurant.

I think u might need a very large pressure cooker

No but I have been to Grimsby.

I've watched KFC do it
@MarineBob My last job before my second bout of blood clots permanently sidelined me was as a kfc fryer, those broasters are super heavy duty and costs about five figures apiece, this is like the one I used at a pizza ranch for chicken and jojos.

No, but the Kernel does it that way and it's finger-lickin'-good, as I recall. Makes it way more tender

it gets clogged, it will EXPLODE all over the house!!
I do not trust pressure cookers after seeing my paternal grandmother's old one explode, she didn't clean it properly after the previous season's canning, the pressure relief valve was clogged.
