I Got The Best Compliment From This 15-Year Old Boy….

@ProfessorPlum77 He is. He wanted to help and I let him peel potatoes, grate cheese and cut up fruit for the fruit salad.

@ProfessorPlum77 I have talked to him several times about being grateful for what we have. He read some of the Little House books in 6th grade including the one about food shortages during one winter and how the Ingalls family had to scrap together what little they had to make a meal. I think that made him think about what we have now

Plus Imdont want people messing with the display.
For groceries I use the store app and then do the curbside pick up.
I dont seem to spend as much because of impulse buying.

@Adrift it wouldn’t work for me then. I need to go inside and pick out what I am buying.

@cherokeepatti I like to deal and thrift shop too.
It makes it tough to do when you are afraid of loosing your bike.
I thought about getting a trailer and taking my dog with me but someone would probably steal him too.
Way too friendly.
So I have to take the car when I go to the dollar market's.

@SW-User He usually thanks me when he finishes a meal. The parakeets all learned to say Thank You because he said it so much, they say it when I do something for them or give them greens and also when they want me to give them greens.

@Azlotto He has learned some simpler things and can make himself a meal. A couple of days ago he fried eggs with runny yolks and now he is on a Kick making sandwiches with them. He had only wanted scrambled eggs up until then. He can make quesadillas, soft tacos, grilled cheese sandwiches nd some other things.

@Stereoguy I’ve learned a lot in the past couple decades about getting away from the chemicals in processed foods and how much better it makes me feel. It’s worth the effort to cook fro scratch if only for health, not to mention the flavor
