Omega 3 foods (fish) will increase IQ in kids and decrease ADHD. It increases mental health, lower strokes and heart disease.

A great video explaining this

vitamin E clears the arteries as well

@littlepuppywantanewlife I think it is why you have depression!
@Carazaa when I was a kid i didn't eat fish but didn't had depression. I have depression because of loneliness, fear and not being loved.

@littlepuppywantanewlife I think you would feel better eating sardines or salmon daily!

A diet rich in Omega 3, reduces and reverses plaque buildup inside arteries, making it possible for blood to flow freely and keeps capillaries flexible and maximizes oxygen distribution.

This means less clots, heart attacks, strokes, etc.

There is no proof it has anything to do with IQ and ADHD. The woman in the video is chiropractor, not a medical doctor or a neuroscientist, so I would be careful what to buy through her youtube channel.

@Carazaa
please look them up
I am familiar with some of those studies, and they all fail to prove a link between kids' IQ and Omega-3. The key to IQ is a heathy and better connected neural network. While Omega-3 helps keeps oxygen flowing better, kids are not affected with plaque, that happens when they start shifting into their teens, and at that point, their neural network is complete.

These studies confuse ideal thinking conditions with IQ.

The key to growing a better neural network, is exposure to a diversity of languages, cultures, and activities/hobbies.

@Northwest There are many studies with large populations proving a clear difference in IQ lately between those who eat fish at least once a week and those children who dont.

Why don't you point me to one of those studies. Please don't tell me to google it.

@littlepuppywantanewlife there are plenty of plant based sources of Omega3, and Turmeric is a natural inflammatory. I take daily Turmeric pills.

@Carazaa

please pay attention to the primary factor.
Analyzing these data points, the Penn team found that children who reported eating fish weekly scored 4.8 points higher on the IQ exams than those who said they “seldom” or “never” consumed fish. Those whose meals sometimes included fish scored 3.3 points higher. In addition, increased fish consumption was associated with fewer disturbances of sleep, which the researchers say indicates better overall sleep quality.

“Lack of sleep is associated with antisocial behavior; poor cognition is associated with antisocial behavior,” said Raine, who has appointments in the School of Arts and Sciences and Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. “We have found that omega-3 supplements reduce antisocial behavior, so it’s not too surprising that fish is behind this.”
That was very helpful thank you.
