What does lobster meat taste like?

It really is delicious. Mild and slightly sweet. I hope you get to try it some day. Cold water Lobsters have the best flavor in my opinion.

I'd say it tastes more like a cross between crab and scallop.

When we had it in Jamaica it is sweet. It has that fishy tang you can get but it's smooth, shrimp is like a lower tone whereas lobster taste soft and salty sweet all at the same time it's really something that you either love or hate. In the UK it's nothing like this it's horrible the best thing to have is cray fish tails because lobster is very expensive and just taste nothing like what you have from the carribbean or states. As you can tell I love lobster I have not had that since 2009 when I last went in 2011 in the July I was in montego Bay they were out of season as that is when they mate.

If you never have you must try it. I like both crab legs and lobster..but for me it also has to have a good butter to dip it in.

Kind of like crab but sweeter. If you can get a genuine Maine lobster the claws are really sweet. Most often you get cray fish that they call lobster which isn't as sweet.

Sweet and fluffy. It doesn't have as much of that rank beach stink and rotten fish sweet flavor of Atlantic blue crab. It's closer to pacific crab but not as good. Crab legs are way better and cleaner tasting.
