It is widely believed that Prophet Muhammad first sighted the Holy Quran during the holy month of Ramzan. And so, Eid al-Fitr signifies the end of fasting from dawn to dusk throughout Ramadan

@Theandyb Thank you. The way I explain it: it's our version of Chrimas/Easter. We have only 2 Eids a year. This is the first one. It comes after the month of Ramadan when we fast from dawn till sunset for an entire month. So today there is no more suffering. Lol
We are allowed to eat, celebrate and have fun ☺️

Though I used to get some money on Eid from relatives in my early 20s before I got a stable career.

There's a Hindu festival called Bhai duj where brothers r suppose to give money to sisters but a working women also gives money back to brothers which is pathetic🤣
