I wonder when ppl are always wearing head phones? Most of the time

Is it because they can't handle or don't like their own thoughts.

For some it might be,
but I think there'd be many reasons.
Some would be drowning out the sounds of traffic and city noises.
Some would just be addicted to music or stimulation.
Some would use it to study -
eg learning a language or listening to lecture notes while running.

i wear headphones to silence my house mates noises (i live in a shared house) so i can hear my own thoughts. It muffles the noise pretty good, even when i'm not listening to anything through them. The headphones i have are so comfy that i forget i'm wearing them most of the time :)

If that were the case, they probaby would have them on in their home as well. I tend to only wear earbuds when I'm"m traveling. Some people wear earbuds so they aren't harassed in public.

@Striderskunk ok and I see that in a lot of ppl but if someone has their earbuds in the majority of the time do u think it could be they don't like their own thoughts or just don't like quiet?

@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart could be I've seen ppl walk into traffic unable to hear a car coming also though. someone had to pull them out of the way
