@Ducky It closed up so I got it done at a stall in the mall a few months later. That too closed up so the third time was the charm. Kinda. I haven't worn it in ages, though.

@Ducky It's mostly closed up again, lol. And besides, I'm a fidgeter by nature. I keep pulling & touching it, cause the lobe to get sore.

@HootyTheNightOwl I've heard of stories about piercings being a form of self-preservation. I'm glad to hear there's one such story behind yours... If you don't mind me asking, how was the nose piercing done the wrong way both times?

@Ducky Same place... oddly enough, it closed a few years after my second piercing was done and went wrong.

The first time... I guess I must've pulled it out in my sleep because I woke up the morning after and it was gone. I found it and put it back in over the course of a few hours, but the damage was already done and it got infected.

The second time, I followed the advice religiously... managed to not pull it out in my sleep - and it still got infected. I have no idea why or how.

@Ducky yeah this ain't the first time I've lost a nose piercing. Last time I didn't notice til it halfway closed which is why I got the opposite side pierced 😂

@Onestarlitnight Genital (and nipple piercings on women) are about the only piercings I don't care for. 😅 But that's just me! If you ever get it done, I'm sure it'll be an interesting story, nonetheless. 😉

@ninalanyon Wow! That's something you don't hear of every day. What prompted you to get them at your age? If anything other than you just wanted them, lol.

@Ducky Wanted to for a long time, no idea why. Now that I am both retired and widowed I don't have quite so many reasons to care about what other people think. So I did it, took me quite a while to be 'brave' enough to do it.

Now it is all part and parcel of the way I dress but in fact the desire to have my ears pierced predates my cross-dressing. For the last few years I have been occasionally wearing clip ons. But they are annoying for several reasons: if they hold on tight enough they hurt after a few hours, if they aren't then they fall off at the slightest provocation, and lastly there aren't very may available in the shops.

I've lived a very quiet conventional life and was married for two thirds of it. I was never a rebellious teenager, never took a lot of risks; so I have concluded that it is time to grow old disgracefully. You will get some idea of how disgracefully if you view my SW Blog. Still not really much of a risk taker really, it just feels that way sometimes to me.

Did you make it this far without your eyes glazing over? I get a bit carried away when someone asks a question that I think I can answer!

@Ducky nipples for 2 years, one private for 35 years or so the other about 2 weeks.

@V00doo Oh, I was assuming you only wear an earring in one ear now. 😅 What kind of earrings did you like wearing for them?

@Ducky I had lots of ornate, long ones. Then had a kid and she would grab them so stopped wearing them

@V00doo How precious! 😊 The ones you liked to wear, not your girl pulling on them. Part of the reason why I never got any piercings, lol.
