Maximalist fashion

I have anxiety and so tik tok is a great distraction. Lately I've been searching for different fashion styles and I found Maximalist fashion. On google most images are just people wearing mixed patterns. However if you head over to tik tok its a whole new world. The weird and crazy outfits people wear there are totally off the wall. I can't help but laugh out loud at some of their creations not in a bad way but because I am in awe of how creative they are. I am also impressed by the sheer confidence they have to wear it. I found myself thinking about how people would react if I wore them around here. I'd definitely get a multitude of strange looks. Plus the teenagers would definitely shout some pretty nasty remarks I'm sure. I'm all for expressing yourself but I feel there's a limit to what seems acceptable. Which I feel is quite sad really. People should be able to wear what they want as long as they are basically not showing things they shouldn't in public. Which reminds me of a woman I saw in tesco one day wearing a lace dress with nothing underneath, now that's indecent with kids around in particular!. One thing about watching Maximalist fashion videos is that its given me a new outlook on what I wear. It's given me a new appreciation for colour. Alot of my outfits are quite plain and in muted colours. It has made me want to add some colourful accessories. To make my outfits more interesting. I also enjoy watching the creativity and the bright colours in their outfits because it lifts my mood. Colour is healing and has been used as theraphy. I think wearing more colour would lift my mood also? Let me know what you think below. I definitely won't be wearing anything too loud because it's just not me. But mixing some patterns and adding colourful accessories is something I'm excited to try.
