The lack of effort put into designing plus sized women's clothing is completely ridiculous and insulting.
Designers seem to not get a) that you can't just basically magnify a clothing item and expect it to have a flattering fit. I doubt some of these brands have ever taken the measurements of a human plus sized woman and b) That plus-sized women are literally just women with a bigger clothing size? You don't suddenly become obsessed with floral and animal print when you're not thin or "average" weight. Everybody wants to wear clothes that look like they're made for their body and are at least from the current decade.

@AmbivalentFriability From what I’ve seen it’s not actually that easy to design good looking clothes for larger women, but, if a larger woman has the opportunity to pick through what is available to let you mix and match.

@justanothername It's not "as easy" because less attention and therefore less practice and innovation is put into it. The ideas of what "looks good" on plus sized women is also pretty much limited to what will mask their body shape, as if their bodies should be hidden. There is no real excuse for brands to not learn how to design fashionable clothes for a significant part of the population.

Yeah I know, I hear it from my wife all the time. Fat man on the other has it much better, I have this shop called Lowes in Australia and they have lots of fat man clothes there are comfortable and long lasting.

Wear lose fitting clothes. Much of it depends on where the bust under cut is.

Perhaps other patterns and colours are...unflattering?
