Science of parenting got me thinking.. [I Parenting]

What is your approach to modern parenting and the family dynamic? Is it something you take seriously/do you think it should be taken seriously,do you think the way other parents chose to raise their children can be influential to your children given they will someday operate in society together, do you think frameworks should be developed to help guide parents in the right direction, also how important are belief and ethical principles regarding parenting styles, I have recently been learning about the 'gentle parenting' style and I am impressed, can't seem to fault anything that gentle parenting suggests
