1st of November I rang my long lost brother and left my contact details.

I also sent him a letter.
The name I found was exactly as my brothers is, with the surname spelt the same, which is very rare in Australia.
Odds of it being him were very high, I would have thought.
No response. Looks like I left it too late. I had his number for at least two years but done nothing about it.
My letter has not been "return to sender".
Most people simply throw letters not addressed to them in the bin. I always repost then without "Not at this address" written on the front.
Though I am a fossil and people will think it foolish to do such a thing these days.

Doesn't mean anyone is at that address to check the mail. It could build up for years at some places and no one would know.

Sometimes mail is delivered at a door slot.

@DeWayfarer When I rang I was switched through to a generic message bank recording. My brothers name was not mentioned on the recorded message. 🤷‍♂️
Bertie · 46-50, F
I hope he's still at that number. Why did you wait so long? Sure hope he responds. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. 😌🤞

@Bertie Thank you.
Contacting him was not a high priority.
We last spoke in 1990.
if it looked like a personal letter I would send it back too 🌺

Don’t give up, it might take time for him to respond.
