When I was a child, a grown up person in my life said to me, "Don't grow up." [I Love Family]

I thought he was being ridiculous. Because I thought being an adult is cool. They get to go out when they want. They get to have jobs and buy things they want. And as children, we're supposed to listen to them.

Then I grew up. And I realized, "Ahh. So this is why."

@Casheyane Thanks. But there's nothing to say you can't be childlike well into your elderlies. Childish is bad for adults, but childlike can be charming.

I'm glad I was never the kid who wanted to grow up and get a job and move out and pay all the bills.
It is truly no fun

I'm in minority about this, but I very much prefer adult life over the life I had as a child or teenager. Best period was 2019 until this shitty pandemic started.
