Is it normal for a humidifier BASE to have water collected in it?

My first time using a humidifier was last night. Definitely want to continue using it.
Upon first use yesterday, I DID NOT fill it fully.
So today, I removed the tank to add water and noticed there is water in the base, where the tank sat.

IS this normal?
I see no mention of this in the manual.
this one I have does that too. Not sure why but doesn't seem to be a problem.

@Mamapolo2016 yea I inspected it. I guess it sits there and pulls it up thru the tank and out as steam? Idk but I slept much better. Eye balls still dry but I slept better. Drank less water through out the night
@iamnikki Good. I am glad for you.

The one we have the bottom fills with water when i put the tank in then pulls it up through the filter and blows the vapor out into the room ,at least on ours yes the bottom should have water in it.

@kodiac what kind? I have Vicks. But it has a tank so it should still have water in base?

@iamnikki Is it just a vaporizer or humidifier? Mine is a large floor model has two tanks and holds 4 gallons of water it's a humidifier.Vaporizers are smaller. When you put the tank in do you hear water draining from it? The water has to get to the pump somehow. It's a sunbeam

Doesn't seem like there should be. Check to see it's on the base completely.
