Can you always keep your clothes from growing smelly while getting them dry?

My dryer doesn't really work and I thought of either buying a new one or using washing perfume.

do you hang your clothes to dry or something? they wont get smelly if you leave enough space between the hangers

@scooogy if you dont have enough room in your closet, i've used an indoor clothesline before. i know a guy who used to hang them around his place wherever he could, like on curtain rods, shower rods... its nice in the winter too cause it boosts the hhumidity in the room

@Penny boosts the humidity? for what purpose?
Penny · 46-50, F
@scooogy like when the heat is on and the air gets dry. some people hang their clothes on a rod over their washer and dryer. dont know if you have space there

If the kitchen is warm after cooking string a clothesline in there and hang clothes up, also use a fan and blow it towards the clothes.

@scooogy A fan should help. If it’s too humid though they aren’t going to dry. Maybe go to a laundromat and dry them.

@cherokeepatti what about a fan heater?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@scooogy that might work but you better keep an eye out on them, space heaters have caused a lot of fires. Might be cheaper just to go to a laundromat and dry them, those little space heaters use a great deal of electricity.

That's mildew. Hang your clothes to dry if the dryer doesn't work. Over chairs, back of a couch, wherever. Getting too cold to have them outside.
Hang dry on a clothes line and they will always be fresh smelling clothes.
